Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026 · Effective: 29 March 2026
CashCalcHub ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR.
1. What data we collect
Calculator inputs — none collected. All calculations happen locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your salary, mortgage figures, savings amounts and other financial inputs are never transmitted to our servers and are never stored.
Analytics — anonymised only. We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand how many people visit our pages and which calculators are used most. No personally identifiable information is collected. IP addresses are anonymised before processing.
Cookies — essential and advertising. We use essential cookies required for the site to function (e.g. remembering your dark/light mode preference). We also use advertising cookies from third-party ad networks to serve relevant ads and, where applicable, to track affiliate link referrals. You can manage or opt out of non-essential cookies via your browser settings.
2. How we use data
Any anonymised analytics data we collect is used solely to improve CashCalcHub — understanding which features are useful, identifying errors, and prioritising development. We do not sell, share or monetise any user data.
2a. Legal basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Legitimate interests — for anonymised analytics used to improve the site (where your fundamental rights are not overridden).
- Consent — for non-essential advertising and affiliate tracking cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time by adjusting your browser cookie settings or using your ad network's opt-out tool (see Section 4). Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
- No processing — we have no lawful basis to process calculator inputs because we never collect them in the first place.
3. Advertising & affiliate disclosure
CashCalcHub is free to use and supported by advertising revenue and affiliate commissions. This means:
- Ads are displayed on our pages, served by third-party advertising networks.
- Some links to financial products or services are affiliate links. These are clearly labelled. If you purchase or sign up via an affiliate link, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.
- Our calculator results, editorial content and recommendations are never influenced by advertisers or affiliate relationships. Commercial arrangements have no bearing on the numbers our calculators produce.
4. Third-party services
CashCalcHub uses the following third-party services:
- Google Fonts — to load fonts. Google may log the request IP address. See Google's privacy policy.
- Advertising networks — we display ads served by third-party ad networks (such as Google AdSense). These networks may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your browsing history. See your ad network's privacy policy for details, or visit aboutads.info to manage ad personalisation preferences.
- Affiliate networks — some links on CashCalcHub are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase or sign up, we may earn a commission. Affiliate links are always clearly disclosed. Clicking them may allow the affiliate network to set a tracking cookie on your device.
International data transfers. Google Fonts, Google AdSense, and affiliate networks may transfer data to servers outside the UK. Where this occurs, transfers are governed by the UK's international data transfer agreements or standard contractual clauses approved by the ICO, ensuring your data receives equivalent protection to that required under UK GDPR. For details, see Google's privacy policy and your ad network's documentation.
5. Data retention
Since we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to retain or delete. Anonymised, aggregated analytics data (if used) contains no personally identifiable information and cannot be traced back to individuals. Anonymised analytics data is typically retained for up to 26 months, in line with standard analytics platform defaults, after which it is automatically deleted or further anonymised.
6. Your rights (UK GDPR)
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, restrict, object to, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you. Because we do not collect personal data, these rights have limited practical application to CashCalcHub. If you have any concern, please contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
You have the right to withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time without detriment. To do so: adjust your browser's cookie settings, clear existing cookies, or use the opt-out tools provided by aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
CashCalcHub does not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.
7. Data breaches
In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting personal data, we will notify the ICO within 72 hours where required by UK GDPR, and will inform any affected individuals without undue delay if the breach is likely to result in a high risk to their rights and freedoms. Given that we do not collect personal data, the practical risk of a breach affecting users is very low.
8. Children
CashCalcHub is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone under the age of 16.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
